Overview

The Offbeat Meghalaya – Winter Edition is an adventure-packed 8-day journey through some of Northeast India's most spectacular landscapes. The journey begins from Guwahati and heads into Meghalaya's lesser-explored regions, starting with Umbyrlein Falls and Khliehriat. Experience an exciting 4x4 journey towards Krem Chympe, explore Khaddum Falls, visit the turquoise waters of Krangsuri and Phe Phe Falls, and enjoy boating on the crystal-clear Umngot River at Dawki. The adventure continues through Mawlynnong, living root bridges and the bamboo trail at Wahkhen, followed by a trek to the legendary Double Decker Living Root Bridge, Blue Lagoon and Rainbow Falls. Instead of ending the journey here, we go deeper into Meghalaya towards Warichora, followed by a full day exploring the region and visiting Jadisil Fish Sanctuary, before returning to Guwahati on Day 8. Winter is particularly suited to this itinerary because the original trip plan highlights clearer river water, drier trekking trails, better visibility and more comfortable conditions between November and April.
